Cliff Hightower is a published author and journalist living in Kingsport, Tennessee. He has spent more than two decades writing for newspapers including the Kingsport Times-News, the Knoxville News Sentinel, The Tampa Tribune and the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

He is author of “Canaan Mountain,” a horror novel set in the western North Carolina mountains. He has also written, “The Long Black Veil,” a speculative fiction novel, and is in the process of writing a dark fantasy series. The first book in the series is tentatively titled “The Cage of the Wolves.”

His stories have appeared in “A Thin Slice of Anxiety” and “Mystery Tribune.”

Cliff is married to his wife, Jama, and has two children, Carolina and Kellen. Besides writing, he loves reading, playing guitar and hiking.
